Timeline
The Centre for Public Health at The University of
Bristol are delighted to welcome you to the 13th UK
& Ireland Occupational and Environmental
Epidemiology Conference which, for the first time,
will be held in Bristol.
This will be a great opportunity to get an overview of
the new research by your peers from across the UK
and Ireland, and learn about new developments in
occupational and environmental epidemiology.
This year we will try something new, and I am
personally very excited about this. Instead of the
traditional scientific posters, we have allocated
several sessions to listen to selections of quick, 2
minute, oral presentations that will all follow a pecha
kucha format. That way, we hope that everyone will
get an even better overview of what is going on
occupational and environmental epidemiology while,
if you are particularly interested in a particular study,
you know who the primary author is for further 1-on-1
discussion over coffee or lunch.
The congress is to be held Hotel Mercure Bristol
Holland House which, in addition to being a great
venue at walking distance from Bristol Temple Meads
train station (as well as the city centre), is also
known for its great buffet lunch: of course included
with registration.
We look forward to seeing you in Bristol!
Since the first one in 2005 in London, the UK/Ireland
1-day meetings have been held annually in the UK to
promote research collaborations in occupational and
environmental epidemiology within the United
Kingdom and Ireland, and worldwide. More details are
available here:
